Matthew E. Schiff, CLU, ChFC, WMCP
(President)

Matthew Schiff is President of Schiff Executive Benefits, which designs, implements, finances and administers nonqualified executive benefit programs and the life insurance used to fund them. He has spent more than 34 years in this one discipline and is recognized as a leader in the corporate- and bank-owned life insurance field as it relates to deferred compensation.
A field he grew up in
In 1974, his father, Bud Schiff, designed the second nonqualified deferred compensation plan written in the United States — the first was PepsiCo’s, the second W.R. Grace’s — at Mutual of New York, where he spent twenty years as one of the company’s leading agents before serving as Senior Vice President. He went on to found Insurance Alliance Group, which became Clark/Bardes Partners and then NYLEX Benefits, a New York Life subsidiary. Matthew worked at each of those firms alongside him: Regional Director at Clark/Bardes Partners, then Managing Director of NYLEX Benefits, where he grew the practice from five people to thirty-five.
His mother, Jayne Schiff, MSFS, CLU, ChFC, REBC, CAP, worked side by side with Bud for many years, and then went on to her own career. She remains the person who taught Matt how to work in the financial services field. In 2006 Matthew founded Schiff Benefits Group, now Schiff Executive Benefits — an independent firm, not a continuation of any of those companies. The longer version of that history is on The Company page.

He is a Life and Qualifying Member of the Million Dollar Round Table (Court of the Table), a ten-time Top of the Table member, a member of Forum 400, and has served on the membership committee of the Philadelphia chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals.
